History

IMMSA was created in the 60 decade as Cominger, beaming quickly to depend to the British company Mechanic Engineering. When the mentioned company joined the Dowty group, the Spanish subsidiary turn out to be Dowty-Meco Ibérica till beginning of the 90 decade. Due to the matrix group Longwall International in the United Kingdom, the name became Meco Ibérica. The company social denomination IMMSA appear lately due to a company management buy out operation, situation that it is maintained till today.

The company main activity at the beginning was selling the matrix company products in the Iberia peninsula, and its business focussed basically in the mining sector. Attracted by the reputation and prestige in the well done job, gradually many other companies begin to incorporate to this representative activity. This caused that in the beginning of the 90 IMMSA was the agent of practically all British mining industry in the Iberia peninsula. During the 90 decade took place the expansion from our traditional mining business to other industrial sectors that we are actually situated.
